I purchased the CD, and when it arrived I realized I don’t have a CD player in my computer. At first I was worried, but then I realized it was okay because the package says ‘2 WAYS TO INSTALL: DOWNLOAD OR CD” I went on the plugin website to download and received an error, some stupid message that says “Oops, something went wrong” I contacted their “support” and entered a Kafkaish nightmare of automatic responses. Never did I get to talk to a representative and nothing on their website tells me how to resolve this program. I contacted wpagen, and their response was “Do you want to return it?” I asked if that was my only option and was told it was. I’m really disillusioned with this product.

Despite installing it correctly and doing all of the updates to this point, I am unable to access various portions of the program and thus unable to enter any info from my W2 nor enter amounts in other areas, i.e. property taxes paid, car registration fee, etc. Customer assistance is poor. I regret purchasing this program and should have stayed with the H&R Block program.

I could not load last years plugin premium into my Windows 10 computer. I used another computer to use it. Now I cannot install the 2022 version of plugin businesse into my computer again. I guess I’ll have to try my wife’s computer again.

This product is fine. I have used it for many years and it is quick and easy to use. Is it accurate? Who knows. I don’t test my returns with multiple tax preparation product. I just have to rely on it.
But the only reason I am buying this product is because congress takes bribes from Intuit and so does not encourage a program that will allow people to file taxes online on IRS websites without the need for buying all these tax preparation products. Other countries don’t require their citizens to buy such products. My state is enough worse. Its one of the blue states that charges you fees on everything, like filing my tax returns, or even getting previous years tax transcripts.

I filed my tax return using plugin in Apr 2022 but still haven’t gotten my refund. I called plugin and they said according to their record my return was efiled successfully. However, I talked to three different IRS agent and was told there was no return record on their end. The only reason there was no record is the return got rejected but plugin never notified me. I contacted plugin again hoping to find out why the return got rejected and I was never notified. Someone on the phone yelled at me stating that there was nothing they can do because it already passed the due date. Once the return was filed and they sent me the acceptance email their job is done. And she hung up on me just like that. I was so shocked by that. I’ve been using plugin for the past ten years but I guess I will definitely switch to something else this year. So disappointed.

No Customer Service At All! I have used wpagen since 2000. I had no problems until the 2019 wpagen year. I have Massachusetts retirement earnings that are wpagenable to federal and exempt for state. Last year, a glitch showed up in the Massachusetts wpagen that prevented e file from going through. A schedule pulled the exempt earnings from the federal area and the exempt earnings from the state. The help desk fixed the problem with an update that took over a week. The same glitch showed up this year. I can’t get any help this year, I have called several times and because I have an x in my email, I can’t get connected through the voice prompts. I paid for the e file and it won’t go and it’s been weeks. I will NEVER buy wpagen again! Beware if you have a problem, you may get no help at all, just a hang up.
