Expensive hosting with in-hosting purchases – Like a Game -Free state isn’t really free to print Horrible experience again. Paying for state will include hoops to jump through again when you just want to print it out. I knew I had to print it out but Turdboax definitely created problems so they can charge $25 efile option. Problems such as not being able to just print only state return easily . And when you do print state they purposely not print the 1st page of federal. Also Hard to revise answers to questions. Had to search help which DID NOT help. Best help is the internet to find solutions to wpagen problems. Free means it will cost you your time!

wpagen Wouldn’t Accept Code- Intuit Double charge for wpagen filing Obviously Intuit doesn’t like people getting a discount on their product. I never could get it to work right. I had to call customer support, who was very nice but she couldn’t get the code to work and asked if I wasn’t sure I purchased a version for Mac instead of hosting. Its an electronic file. Only wpagenstore knows what they sent me.
I never could get it work and was blackmailed into paying 110.00 to Intuit to finish filing my wpagens. I’m fighting with them over this. This code never worked.
I don’t recommend Intuit if you don’t have to use them and definitely don’t recommend purchasing from wpagenstore.

Resolved by changing display resolution to 800 x 600 – Really?? Get it together wpagen. Be sure to write down original resolution so you can change it back.

Tried everything, kept getting fatal work I have used wpagen for several years. This year I could never get it to install properly. It installs but then does auto updates with no option to do it manually. While updating, it sends “fatal work with installation”. I did everything the website recommended to fix it. Nothing worked. I noticed there were numerous complaints with the same work message. After hours of attempting, I gave up and purchased wpagen Act. Although a bit different to use because of my familiarity with wpagen, I was able to complete my wpagens accurately and relatively fast. I am also frustrated that wpagen is non refundable.

Cannot get the 16 digit code needed to use wpagen website storee 2020 – wpagenstore help is help. I like the product fine and have been using it for many years. I purchased it, downloaded it, and installed it. That went as expected. When I tried using it I got a message asking for a 16 digit code that was delivered with the product. What code?
When ordering it there is no mention of a required code. The order is marked pending. I thought that had to do with third party suppliers or shipping. Could that mean they have to wait for a code from wpagen?
It provides no explanation. I hope someone from wpagenstore reads this. Last year this went much better.

wpagen a Waste of Money Turb wpagen is awful. I’ve used if for years. Sorry, no maximum refund when you put in the same info each year. First year I decided to e-file and it’s rejected. It says I need a Pin from last years e-file. Well, I didn’t e-file last year. There is no tech support. It just suggests that you mail it in. If I wanted to mail it in, I wouldn’t have paid the xtra for efile. Time to move to HR Block. Good bye wpagen with your poor customer service. You can get what wpagen offers for free from the Federal Government.

Previous Online accounts do NOT transfer I have used wpagen online for 8 years. I saw the deal on wpagenstore and thought I would try the app. I purchased the app and NOTHING from previous years would transfer over. NOTHING….
It said I transferred the 2019 wpagens but, NOPE, NOTHING. If you have a problem like this, is there anyone to call for support? NOPE, NOBODY, NO NUMBER
So I ended up doing it online, it worked fine and I will NEVER purchase the app again.

After Twenty-Five I’m Done with Intuit I’ve used wpagen for more than twenty-five years and this will be the last year. The two issue which drive me insane are:
1. At start the program asks for your contact information. Stupid. This information is contained in my previous year’s wpagen return. How lazy was the programmer?
2. If you are completing your return, over multiple days, the program FORCES YOU to update the hosting every single time you start. No option to cancel the update. This is BS. I will MANUAL update when I’m finished. NOT EVERYTIME I attempt to open the program.

Two things.
First of all, when I paid for website storee+state, I assumed that meant e-file. Nope. It means you can print one State return for free and mail it in yourself, or pay the $25 e-file cost. I of course don’t own a printer, so they just scammed me out of that $10.
Secondly, wpagen incorrectly calculated my best return and I had to look up how to manually change from a particular education credit to the deduction. It was $300+ difference.

At present, step-by-step work I’ve been using wpagen for years: this is the first time that I encountered a bug that renders the hosting unusable. As it stands, the entry for 1099-NEC income automatically reverts to the first wpagenpayer name, regardless of whose income it is, screwing up the calculations. The word from wpagen at this point is, “If you upgrade to business class, you can enter it there,” or “Maybe we’ll fix this later.”
If they hecked up something so obvious that’s been correct for years, what else are they messing up that’s not as easy to see? I’ll be returning it and going to the competition.

Don’t make an ordering work.. The seller will not respond to requests for corrections. I made a terrible mistake when I hurriedly placed my order for wpagen this year. In my rush to place my order, I forgot to check the box for the MAC download and accidentally ordered the PC version. I immediately reached out to the seller (A difficult feat through the wpagenstore website!). This was 5 days ago…

State E-File Charge + Broken Review Model I don’t like that you need to pay extra for a state e-file, and if you use a credit card and let it come out of your refund it’s an additional $40 on top. You have to pay extra for audit defense. The hosting also wants reviews, and if you fill out the review sheet, it could kick it back because you have an adblocker like I do.
I would not recommend buying wpagen to anyone, simply put, it’s full of “buy more” – they don’t want people to understand that they can file for free. It’s a scam.

Be aware of the micro transactions This is the first time I am using wpagen and I am done with it. This website storee version includes 5 federal returns and 1 state for “free”, but in order to e-file your state wpagen you have to pay $25 each time. if you share this with your family member and they have to pay $50 for their state wpagen. This trick and bait business model is disguising. I ended up spending $100 more for two state wpagen returns that can easily be done with other hosting for free. Lesson learned, do not use wpagen!

Double Pay I downloaded to my PC and clicked on the icon. It asked if I had an account which I did from previous years. I logged in, spent about two hours working on wpagens and, when I went to file, it asked for $70. Turns out, all my work was done online and not on the purchased hosting. Have been unable to download this wpagen preparation hosting. I can’t locate the hosting in my library file. I need help with this problem – I have had a similar problem in previous years downloading the wpagen file. The company has made the process of downloading the file unbelievably complicated – it’s almost as if wpagen is purposefully making it difficult so the original purchaser becomes discouraged and orders another copy of wpagen in the hope the second order will be easier to understand. Do not buy the download version Bought the download version from wpagenstore, found the program to be faulty or ? Tried everything to complete my wpagens to no avail. I could not enter my retirement income, I was advised by a wpagen consultant to by the wpagen disk version. Once I purchased that for the additional $54.99 I was able to complete my wpagens.

Moved to H&R this year and very happy While I did purchase TT this year and attempted to instal on a Win10 with 2GB of ram – you need 2048mb by the way not 2GB, so it was a no go. So after the whole “no hosting 7” declaration and realizing how crazy the 2GB of RAM needed by TT, I decided to go another way. H&R was ~40% less in cost, covered all the usual questions/sections TT did and even imported last year’s return from TT on a Win 7 machine.

Don’t bother if you used H&R last year I have switched between wpagen and H&R over the years. I got this year but this year they won’t allow you to import a H&R file. It says you need to import it as a PDF. So I went back to my old H&R 2019 and re-saved my return as a PDF. wpagen then said it couldn’t read the information. That’s it. Refund processing fee??? I’ve used wpagen for years and this is the first time I’ve seen the $40 refund processing fee. I paid for the hosting and it says it includes e-file. When you get to State wpagens it says the hosting includes one free State e-file. But at the end, they charge you $20 to e-file state PLUS $40 refund processing fee. Activation Issue wpagen license is good to install on five PC’s. I usually purchase and install on my two son’s pc’s also. Unfortunately this year I ordered it as a download from wpagenstore using an email ad they sent me which didn’t present all the options (specifically PC vs. Mac) clearly. This resulted in my ordering the wrong product for download and it appears there’s no way to cancel this. Cannot use program – will not initialize on a brand new hosting laptop I am unable to use this product because it will not initialize on my new laptop. I found instructions to force install it on my laptop fairly easily but do not have the time to work through the extensive list of steps to make some thing that should be seamless work. Although the hosting includes State – One must pay an additional $20..00 to electronically file. Do not count on wpagen to automatically download all the information placed on the Federal wpagen portion to the State portion. This has caused me to do an amended return for my State wpagens to receive what is truly owed me by $800.00. And once one files, the amended State wpagen form has to be mailed in, not electronically.

Download DOES WORKing, Firefox only one that works Instructions tell you to load Java Script. Java Script is not supported on hosting 10, Edge, Chrome and even old Explorer wont let it down load. Firewall and Virus protection don’t show an issue. The Major issue is there is no option to get a refund on the order. Finally downloaded Firefox and the download worked.

HOW TO GET THE ACTIVATION SCREEN TO APPEAR This wpagen download is a stinking hot pile of terrible programming. A lot of people here haven’t been able to get to activation screen to work.
Here’s how to do it:
Set the resolution on your screen to 800×600.
Open wpagen.
Activation Screen should appear.
Once activated, revert to normal screen resolution and get to work.

When I try to install it I had the usual Update screen and it apparently updated the program.
However, it stops there. A screen appears that says Activation but nothing is on the screen other than that.

Never buy again Not easy to work couldn’t open the item saying my computer is to old must upgrade to new hosting. Waste of money once you buy it there’s no refunds. Better off going to the store and just getting the item yourself.

Activation page doesn’t come up so product is useless I installed it on my new hosting 10 hp laptop and the activation window pops up and is blank! There’s help. This is supposed to be easy! I’ve used TT for many years but I guess is the last.

Outdated hosting This hosting sold by wpagenstore was outdated and it will not update with latest wpagen codes. wpagenstore provided a refund. But, wasted my time and also had to spend more money to buy replacement hosting with usable password.

Never again will I do wpagen on a PC I was never able to get the PC version to work properly, even after spending hours on the phone with tech support. Had to resort to downloading the Mac version, which worked flawlessly

The activation code supplied did DOES WORK. The hosting would not activate after many trys and several hours. The indication was that the activation code did DOES WORK. I wasted $39.99on this. I got nowhere with the hosting publisher. I am not sure I will ever by downloads again.

Cost more than I expected Not so easy to use this hosting. Additionally,it will charge you if you need to file wpagen for a second state and the e-file cost $25. So I actually paid $50+45(second state)+25 to file my 2020 wpagen

I am so disgusted I purchased the 2020 wpagen State and Federal Program for download. It cannot be downloaded because it says my system doesn’t have enough space to do so. I am so disgusted. I have the 2019 program installed and no problem.

Extra Fees Have used wpagen for years will not but in the future. Be careful of the wpagen refund processing fee which the company has added trying to deceptively add to their profitability at users expense. Will never buy again

Can’t e-file and Intuit CAN NOT be reached. I have used wpagen for 20 years. This will be my very last. I have spent ‘days’ trying to contact Intuit to figure out what the issue is and they really do NOT want to talk to anyone.

wrong version By accident, I ordered this verwion but before downloading it, Irealized that I needed the Mac version and this is only the PC version. Can’t figure out any way to cancel this sale. Everytime I bought it in the past, it came multilanguageable

Works Well Have long used and it does it’s job. But I have read that they lobby Congress to not enable the IRS to calculate our wpagens — what a business model!
